The Val d'Aran (Pyrenees) is one of the natural spaces in Catalonia with the most MTB routes; there are 25 routes and 444 km of cycle paths in the comarca (local district).

All of the paths are well marked and signposted and visitors can enjoy mountain biking along paths, trails and forest tracks of varying degrees of difficulty, regardless of their experience and physical condition.

The new MTB Centre of the Val d'Aran is located in Betren and run by the company Copos Bike Club. The centre specialises in mountain bike activities and is a place where it is possible to obtain all of the services required by those taking part in this sport: bicycle repairs, bikes for hire, a cleaning area, guides for cyclists, and programmed outings.

The whole signposting system of the MTB Centre has been homologated and follows the technical and aesthetic criteria established by the network of MTB Centres of Catalonia.
Each circuit is marked, from start to finish, with information signs, with an average frequency of a sign every 500 m and there are signs at intersections and points with sudden changes of direction. The signs indicate the colour of each circuit and its level of difficulty (green, blue, red and black). Information panels have also been placed at strategic points (meeting points, information points and start points).

The public transport service for the Val d'Aran - ALSA – provides users with bus services that follow Camin Reiau (the main path running through the comarca). It is therefore possible for cyclists to return to the start point taking their bicycles on a bus without needing to organise a travel combination involving other vehicles.
